Core vs Abs – The Difference?

I for one had a misconception around what’s working the “core” vs working the “abs”. What’s the difference? If you’re a yoga goer, often you’ll hear instructors disciplining the students “use your core” or your personal trainer would repeatedly remind you to “tuck in your core”. But what does it all mean?

Crispy Bacon, Mixed Leaves & Lemon Spaghetti

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 strips of smoked bacon (prosciutto is also a yummy alternative)
  • 250g mixed leaves, (or rockets for the rockets lover like myself!)
  • 400g thin spaghettini

Method:

  • Pan-fry the smoked bacon strips until brown and crispy. Have kitchen towels on a plate to sieve the oil after. Let your crispy bacon rest
  • Whisk the lemon juice, olive oil, and some salt and pepper in a bowl to blend.
  • Cut the crispy strip bacon into small bite sizes 
  • Bring a large saucepan of salted water to the boil. Add the spaghettini and cook until al dente. 
  • Drain and sprinkle the bite-size smoke bacon, mixed leaves, and cherry tomatoes. Pour the dressing over and toss to combine.
